In 2005, San Diego Youth En Gedi Ensemble was established with the purpose of blessing those in need and bringing beautiful music to quench the thirst of people’s dry and weary soul.
From 2006 to 2012, they won the grand prize every year at the International New Praise Competition and performed at prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center. In 2012, they received the Best Performer’s Award among grand prize winners at the winner’s concert at Carnegie Hall. Each year, they hold a benefit concert, with donations sent to causes such as North Korean orphans, the homeless, children in Africa, and handicapped children in Korea. They go on mission trips to Korea every two years since 2013, performing at various locations including hospitals, multiple children’s centers, and churches.
